Bybit is one of the busiest crypto perp exchanges, but it's chronically underserved by trading journals. Most either don't support it, support it badly, or want you to upload CSV files every Sunday.

The setup (5 minutes)

  1. In Bybit: API Management → create a read-only API key. Never grant withdrawal permissions to any tool. Ever.
  2. In EdgeLedger: Exchanges → Add Bybit → paste the key and secret.
  3. EdgeLedger backfills your last 90 days of fills automatically. Larger histories backfill in chunks.
  4. From here, every new fill streams in within 60 seconds of execution.

What you get that CSV-based journals can't do

  • FIFO position matching — multi-leg entries and partial exits are matched correctly without you doing the math.
  • Fee-aware P&L — Bybit's funding rates and taker fees are baked in, not ignored.
  • Real-time analytics — your win rate, expectancy, and drawdown update with every fill.
  • No data drift — your journal is always in sync with the exchange. If a trade is reversed, the journal reflects it.

Security note

API keys are encrypted at rest. You can rotate them anytime. We can't withdraw, place orders, or do anything besides read your history — by design.
